Gemotions

The sound of the piano keys filled the apartment, a complex sonata filling the space. Ben played, his fingers dancing across the keys. The interview was done. He had done his best. The rest was out of his control. He had chosen to spend the day practicing.

He would practice, then cook, and then spend the evening with his partner. There was nothing more to do.

He paused, and checked his phone. There was a text message from David.

"Hey, anything?"

Ben shook his head slightly, as he typed back: "No. You?"

"Nada."

He took a deep breath, and continued playing, the music filling the air.
